Maria Brink
Maria Brink, born December 18th 1977, is an American singer-songwriter from the United States. She is most well-known as the frontwoman of In This Moment. The group released seven studio albums and received four nominations at the Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" and "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and the fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. She was also one of 11 women in heavy rock that matter to Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the 25 Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. Brink moved to Los Angeles in 2002 at the age of 25, to join an act. Before that she worked in the retail industry and also sang in cafes and bars. After an audition, she met Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth initially was hesitant to sign up Brink as a singer due to the fact that she was an asian woman. Howorth apologized to Brink and then hired Brink as her vocalist just two weeks later. They came together as Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as their drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined them as guitarists. In the course of time, the group changed their name to In This Moment
